Submit a Quiz Question
Know an estimation question that sparks an argument at the table? Send it over. We check every submission and add the good ones to the question catalogue.
Your question
Only the question itself is required. The answer and the hints help us check it — the more complete your submission, the sooner it lands in the game.
What makes a good estimation question
In QuizPoker you bet on your answer. That only works if the question meets four conditions:
-
The answer is a number
Metres, years, percent, pieces. Names, places or yes-no answers cannot be estimated and do not fit the game.
-
Nobody knows it exactly
The fun is in the estimating. If someone knows the number by heart, they win the round without any tension.
-
The number can be verified
We check every answer against a reliable source. Anything we cannot look up, we cannot add.
-
The hints narrow it down
A good hint does not give the answer away — it turns wild guessing into a reasoned estimate, for instance through a comparison.
Questions whose answer goes stale in a few months are welcome too — we simply add an expiry date.
What happens after you send it
-
1. Arrival
Your question goes straight into the catalogue — as a draft, not yet visible to other players.
-
2. Review
We check the answer against a source, add unit and category, and polish the hints.
-
3. Release
Once it passes the review it goes live and shows up for everyone in the game.
Common questions
How many questions can we submit?
As many as you like — we accept five per person per hour. Send them one at a time, each gets its own entry.
Will we hear whether the question was accepted?
We store no contact details, so we cannot reply. Just look in the game — the question shows up there once it passes the review.
Does the question have to be in English?
Use the language you are reading this page in. Your submission lands in exactly that question catalogue.
